Do you own tiny replicas of (mostly are gendered female) humans which are meant to be played by little girls or for indulgency of its collectors? They do come in various types. The most famous one is named Barbie. And fellow friends are coming up too. They are Kelly (Barbie's baby/toddler), Bratz, Myscene, Blythe, and many more (I only know those all). These dolls have different shape, images, and characters. I once had loads of barbies, kellies and some bratz, and I just have no idea where they have gone. But I found one set of my Bratz's outfit which I used to pinned on my plain shirt. Now, that set of clothes were moved to be attached on my yellow-fabric covered binder given from my cousin; Magi.

Now, my binder looks prettier at least to my eyes. I also accessorised it with the coloured foam (like the brooch I made on this post). It is better to be painted with asturo paint! As you can see, the cat which is miu miu SS2010-inspired, is faded because it's painted with poster paint!

So, if you are not playing with your fancy dolls anymore, you can attach their clothes/whatevs on anything appropriate to beautify them! Since it is used to contain my school subjects, these things brought me spirit to study and write neatly (haha wth i know). -end of this post-

Last week I stopped by at a toyshop to see how are the toys nowadays. The last time I went to a toy shop maybe about 2 years ago... And still, barbie section is my favourite. I've always adored barbie, mattel made amounts of various types. There are also some editions that featured my country's cultures. I had a plan when I was younger to become a barbie collector if, I had too much money. The excitement feeling grew again when I saw this barbie black label. And they are called "Barbie Basic". I was really thrilled and stood up for minutes to discover these stylish barbies. This collections consist twelve dolls in different designs of little black dresses which shown their own characters. And it comes in many accessory sets too! Here are my favourites:

Deidre features an African American skin tone, and a striking black dress with a plunging neckline.
Kayla/ Lea features a black fitted strapless knee length dress mixes with a stylish and sleek up do that perfectly frames her ethnic figure.
Goddess has black curly cropped hair, wears fitted black mini backless dress showing off her gorgeous dark complexion and long legs.
Lara features the Lara face mold and a slinky black mini dress and layers off luscious brunette hair.

Abandon Hope

On 11|08|10 I was desperate looking for a bag covered with faux-leather inside my mom's wardrobe. Once I found the perfect bag, My mom agreed and let me to paint it but my sister didn't let me because it's hers. So, I took a bag with broken white colour. I had an idea what to paint on the bag I wanted. With this one? I was blank. So, it ended up pretty messy. I actually wanted to paint a life still but my brushes are too wide and the bag is too small. I didn't really know what the concept is. Since it's ignored, I remembered about something that is abandoned. So I wrote: "Abandon Hope" on it. I didn't mean it to be a scary bag, the red lines were meant to be the veins. But when I checked on the internet, it's actually the phrase of inscription at the entrance to hell. Maybe later I'll buy a cheap faux-leather bag. I am still obsessed painting down on this media.

Magingsir Bali

The title above means Leaving Bali as in Balinese language (hopefully I was right), and the picture above is a portrait of two young Balinese dancers from 1929, which I saw from their clothes they must be legong dancers.

I had this 7 days trip by bus, perambulated the Java Island until I waded to Dewata Island. This is the most recent trip I had after ages I didn't have. So it's quite refreshing at the moment :D! It's actually one of the school's comprehensive learning program I joined. Even I went there with 'school', it's quite pleasing though I couldn't stay much longer when was in one tourist attraction I liked. It was a very demanding schedule! So, every time I could thought of was "oh I must make a plan to go here again!!! arf!". I've been to Bali thrice, and this one is the third time. Every time I went there, it was always impressive. But, this time... Bali impressed me thousands more. I am in love with this land and I mean it.

On my way back home, we got a chance to stopped off to Jogjakarta, it's located in Center Java. I liked this city too! but sadly, we only got time to shop when the stores were going to close. I found this city was interesting... They still remain their strong cultures like Bali does. I spent my time at the store named "Mirota". They got amazing stuff! I think I love being there for hours... but unfortunately, I didn't have much time to see things around. I must go back there sometime!

Okay, Later I will post the trip I had! I gotta stop because I must go to my dance studio to practice because I'm going to perform two days away! And this is the first time after the last dancing performance I had is when I was on the 5th grade!

Today I watched The September Issue for the first time. I am so late I know, but it gave me the knowledge about the severity behind the fashion industry. I have heard about that frequently, but on that film, it revealed those hard times which could be seen by the pair of our eye. It quite made me scared to work in that industry. I guess I am in doubt now about what am I going to reach after watching that documentary film.

But I really adore Grace Coddington... since the first time I read Vogue, I haven't recognized the person behind those amazing works I adored on Vogue U.S. I adore her attitude that's shown on the film. You Rock Miss Coddington! The flaming red hair, and her laid back style are so remarkable. Her works are genius, as Anna had said too. I wish I could purchase her book called "Grace, Thirty Years of Fashion at Vogue".

By the way at my English course, there was an assignment to make the best dinner party (this assignment was given before I watched The September Issue) . I invited her to my imaginary dinner party! It's because I remembered that she was the creative director of Vogue U.S. and I also invited 10 best people at fashion industry, I could invite the dead ones! The topics were fashion, and giving scholarship for talented designers (haha I just could think of CFDA). The room was well designed too, I went with the theme "Graceful White". I wish that dinner party could become true!

The Black Hijabis

Yesterday I had photo-shoot with Sabrina, she came earlier at 7 in the morning and the total photos we had until she left at 5 in the afternoon is 1678! Now Sabrina has worn hijab. It makes me want to wear hijab too, insyallah :D. So, she wanted to have a photo-shoot in hijab. The first photo-shoot was inspired from this pictures:

We wished that we had more people to join this shoot, so it'd look like the picture up there! The photography by Irving Penn also describes the look we want to have. We are also like to find out inspiration from Hana's blog. She has amazing style and her blog is really inspiring for the hijab style.

I want to know who could ever stop talking inside their mind except to those who already died, people when they're sleeping or collapsed. Because, when I tried to stop talking inside my mind, I still talk how to stop talking inside my mind which means I am still talking inside my mind! As long as I remember, I haven't stopped talking inside my mind. So, I wanna talk about stuff that I keep discuss at the moment. Oh. that teenvogue handbook is just still a dream book...

1. Just now, I went to traditional dance course with my friend, I'm a beginner so I'm still bad at these dancing moves. I chose Bali traditional dancing because it's famous and the motions are beautiful, I've just realized that how hard to practice the expressions. When I was waiting, the younger/children group was dancing, I see a very perky mysterious Balinese dancing named "Tari Manuk Rawa". I love the movements, and the music... it's perfect...! But I am not learning that one, so I got to download the video! I just feel can't wait to go to Bali on April more and more! But at the dance studio, I felt like in Bali already... haha! you can watch the video here:

2. I really had a great plan to dye my hair 'cool blonde', haha crazy right! it doesn't look like the blondie blonde ones, but I have ever seen on L'Oreal colour hair book, and there was a colour named cool blonde. It's quite grayish but a little bit gold. I am not sure if it looks exactly like this. But I quite want to dye my hair like Irina Kulikova's on Giles deacon. I wish I could high lighted it with blue too, and it's so impossible! despite of my dark skin, I'm still obsessed to dye my hair cool blonde. But now... my mom don't let to dye my hair, but I'll still try to blandish her because I got reasons! wish me luck ;). Hahah I've ever sprayed my hair purple before I went sleep. Just curious that I haven't used the hair colour spray for ages!

3. I've wanted to post the customized canvas topshop tote since last year, but now I've just posted this up! Mine is actually the navy blue one. I wear this bag to school when I don't bring many books. I stick a face of bumblebee which is a bonus from cronflakes, sew some sequins, then tie colourful rubber bracelets I bought from my friend!

Tim Walker Box

I just feel like posting things... This is my art project last year, when I was in the 10th grade. Every class had to make a little art exhibition in front of the class, with a theme. My teacher told me to handle the decoration. So then some of my friends agreed with a British theme... but eventually it doesn't so britishy at all. every person in the class had to make 2 project. first is the 3 dimension art, and one more is drawing assignment for the final test. But we must stick to the theme we planned. What remind me about british is the british photographer, Tim Walker. Then I made this Tim Walker's Magic Box. Every side of it are his photographs. And inside it there's a pop up thing and glitters. But I didn't get a chance to get a photo of what is inside (to lazy haha). Under the box, there's a little information about Tim Walker which can be pulled off.

This is the poor little exhibition of our class. I had my draw on the wall, it was inspired from a Vogue Italia spread which is modeled by Ali Stephens. Doesn't look like her at all. And then right is a balooned frame. I love the idea of my friend's project. One of them is from Ayu and Grace. I heart this spread from an Indonesian local teen magazine named Gogirl! I'm really happy seeing the beautiful models captured in a soft colour but with an edge. I mostly like all the look of the models, especially the one who had blue eyeshadows. Her name is Veby. The styling is also fun without looking too much. And thanks to the great Arseto Adiputra! He's one of the best Indonesian photographer I've ever knew. He had done some spreads on gogirl!, and you can see some of them on http://arsetoadiputra.blogspot.com/. I'm really excited to have Indonesian teen magazines getting more "high fashion", and amazingerrr yay!

Batik went global on the last Spring Summer 2010 show by Dries Van Noten. The batik parang rusak pattern was chosen on some of Van Noten collections. The ikat pattern's also his choice too. I'm technically proud seeing the culture of my country was being showed to the world. It's such a clashing cultures, mixing the parisian culture with batik. The show that was held in Paris created a global vision. I like the easy wear looking and the loose size trousers look so comfortable. I knew this Korean drama when I couldn't go to sleep at 12 pm and I decided to turn on the TV. There was this show called "Coffee Prince" showing in local TV channel. I couldn't miss that show ever since. Ha! It's really funny. Actually, it's a 2007-released show but I've just realized it just now. This guy, whom name is Gong Yoo, has successfully poisoned me. Haha :D. I have never attracted to Korean guy before. I love especially when he wore shirt. Ah, everything like fits him in his athletic kind of body. He's not so charming or, handsome. But he's so goddamn attractive. Especially when you watch the show.

I have ever swore to myself not to make a blog. But I failed, Blogging sounds so fun, and There are many talented people who have interesting blogs where I can get loads of inspiration. After I have started this blog on December 2008, I am not a kind of person who do blog a lot. I want to, but I'm so unable to do these all. More over, I have an illiteracy to do sterling writing. I write a lot, but they are quite rubbish. I write in English more often than I write in Indonesian, I write grammatically incorrect though. I am interested in literature and art. But to write well is my blind spot. I don't know how to get better in writing. These are the reason why am i deleting some of my previous posts. They are so rubbish. Ha! Pity me. It's so heart-burning. I covet those who do well in their blog. Well done :) But I hope, after changing this blog into "creepy man", and changed it as like as the first time, and eventually posting this, I will get better to blog. Nothing so important about header, but it identifies you and your blog so much, i think. I don't put my header on because I think I just feel so. Even I named this blog "Viva La Mode", I won't be a total mode-ish, because I am not a fashion insider. fashion fascinates me, and I got lack fashion knowledge. Ah, what a total randomness i am. I want to post the intension of Christopher Kane's Resort 2010 collection. He has been catching my eyes as from his SS07 collection. What an amazing man he is. These prints are truly insane.

This military bag is my sister's. Once my friend said it was the T45 type. I don't really know about military things though. I borrowed it since last year and it hasn't gone back to my sis's hands until present ;p. It was plain... and masculine, I was thinking about something else since I've worn it for a year, I wanna change its look. At first i only added the balloon brooches which were inspired from the Peter Jensen's one that had been featured in Teen Vogue beauty spread.

1. the mannequin worlds!

HA! it's my very first official scrapbook ever. it's started on November 2006. i made this one because i wanted to feature my first favourite supermodels; gemma ward, lily cole, and lily donaldson (the first attraction of fashion photography). the other pages also completed with fashion collages, fashion photographs, skandar keynes; my fav. actor (well, just a bit), myself (a bit), erm... most of all is about models. oh yeah! and some of my fav. lyrics at the end section... because this is a kind of binder one, i could fill more, && more paper. and now it looks like want to explode!!!

2. the sluurp!! book

it started on august 2007. it tells about me and my only one charmingly awkward chum named nezza... the pictures were the picture that the first time we met until the last day we were separated (now we went to different high school), and then... of course our crushes included, cuties, things we like, hideous stuff, meaningful lyrics, historical soundtracks, etc... and there are still some blank pages... hurrah!!!

3. urban paier noir.

arf! it probably the coolest book I've ever had. i like it because the papers are black, I've never torn any of the sheet, && i enjoyed dropping my days on these papers. it actually filled with random things... this one started no longer after the sluurp!! book. too bad, it is full!!! =< [there are only 40 sheets of it]

4. A Red Book

it's a bonus from the debut of elle indonesia, i started it on march 2008. it's sooo sleek and chic! it might be the most clean/tidy/formal one. every papers were typed, less handwriting. and it only talks about fashion && photography, nothing far from that topic... and some of my inspirations included.

5. oh, so fancy!

this one is the most fancy among of all i think,. because em the papers are colorful, the covers (which designed by myself) are also fancy; the front cover has extended cover. I've just started this on July 2008, and there are still blank papers to fill on! I'm going to make this one just like my 'urban papier noir'. i only need... freedom!!!

well. I've just started new scrapbook that called "the trash" haha yeah it is trashy xD. it's my 6th scrapbooks... it filled mostly with random things and some failed printed papers!.

Hedi Slimane.

Is an inspiring photographer of all the time. Who says that he just captures random people in black and white like everybody could? it's not just. He pulls back emotions, realities, deep inside in his photographs. I am so inspired by those photos with the image of punk and rebellion. he was a creative director for dior homme. and he did great for all the collections, i love them and they're timeless, the adverts were amazing also. But now he doesn't run the dior homme anymore. I was too late to realise him. Ok, Here are some of my favourite photos from Mr. Slimane:
